The present psycho-dynamic theories put less weight on sexual drives as determinants of conduct and more on cultural and social encounters.

In the study of psychology, a psychodynamic theory is a view that clarifies personality as far as conscious and unconscious powers, for example, oblivious wants and convictions. Psychodynamic theories generally hold that youth encounters shape identity.
