The area consists of a big rectangle with length ( 3 + 4 + 5 ) = 12 units and width =7 units and two right triangles at above and below the big rectangle.

The base of both the triangles is 3 units and the height is 4 units.

Therefore, total area of two triangles = 2 × (0.5 × 3 × 4) = 12 square units

And the area of the big rectangle is (12 × 7) = 84 square units.

Hence, the total area = (84 + 12) = 96 square units.
