Answer: 0.25N

Explanation:

Given that

mass of book = 50 grams

Convert mass in grams to kilograms

If 1000 grams = 1 kg

50 grams = (50/1000) = 0.05 kg

acceleration = 5 m/s/s

Force on the book = ?

Since force is the product of mass of an object and the acceleration by which it moves.

i.e Force = mass x acceleration

force = 0.05kg x 5 m/s/s

Force = 0.25N

Thus, the force on the book is 0.25Newton
