8/8 = 1

total = 3 slices
10/5 is 2 and 8/8 is 1. 2+1=3
You can solve it in the fraction form too by using a common denominator. (40 in this case)
10/5 + 8/8 = 80/40 + 40/40 = 120/40 = 3
