Substitute y that's Equation 2 into equation 1 and solve for x

That's

6x - 2( 3x + 7) = 5

6x - 6x - 14 = 5

6x - 6x = 14 + 5

6x - 6x = 19

0x = 19

Divide by 0

x is undefined

Since x is undefined y is also undefined which means that the system has no solutions
