When the minerals within a rock dissolve in water, what happens to the mass of the rock?

Answer:It simply dissolves into the liquid

Explanation: The minerals within the rock simply increase their speed and the molecules increase speed dramatically turning it into a liquid, it can also depend on hot hot or cold the water might be. Hope this helped :)
