Divide by 2

Y = 2x - 2.5

x intercept: when y = 0

0 = 2x - 2.5

2.5 = 2x, x = 1.25

y intercept: when x = 0

Y = 2(0) - 2.5, y = -2.5

Solution: (1.25, 0) and (0, -2.5)
