The sum of three times a number and 7 more than
the number is the same as the difference between
- 11 and twice the number. What is the number?

Answer:

3x+7+ x= -11-2x

4x + 2x = -11-7

6x = -18

x = -18/6

x = -3

therefore , the number is -3

now,

by putting value,

3x+7+x=-11-2x

3*(-3)+7+(-3)=-11-2*(-3)

-9+7-3=-11+6

-5=-5
