Starting off with the base equation.
x(1−x)=−6

Simplify both sides of the equation.−x2+x=−6

Subtract -6 from both sides.−x2+x−(−6)=−6−(−6)−x2+x+6=0

Factor left side of equation.(−x−2)(x−3)=0

Set factors equal to 0.−x−2=0 or x−3=0x=−2 or x=3
