A trick to get the total outcomes is multiplying the number of possibilities by how many trials. So in this case you multiply 2 x 2 x 2 because the only possible possibilities are tails or heads. And the probability of getting all tails is 1 so therefore the answer is 1/8

Probability that one coin will land tail up is 0,5.
If you toss 3 coins the probability that all the coins will land tails up is:
[tex] 0,5^{3}= 0,5 * 0,5 * 0,5 = 0,125.[/tex].
