Calculate the speed for a car that went a distance of 125 kilometers in 2 hours time.

So you want to get the distance per hour. Now it's per 2 hours, so you want to get it per 1 hour.
You can think of it as dividing the numerator and denominator each by 2.
(125 km/2) / (2 hours /2)
62.5 km / 1 hour
62.5 km/h
